JAPAN WELCOMES TEAM EASSON!

I now have 10 days off school and tomorrow will be meeting mum and dad at the airport in Tokyo! Yay! We will spend a few days in Nagano, head down to Kyoto mid-week and then have our last few days in Tokyo. I am really looking forward to seeing them - it's been almost a year!

Bye bye Kyla!

Me, Atsuko, Ky and Kat

As Kat and I are preparing to leave Japan in August, Kyla has taken the huge step of moving to Tokyo instead! She starts a new job in just over a week and has bagged herself a swanky apartment near Shinjuku - no more hostels for us when we next go to Tokyo!!! Trying to keep things upbeat and not focusing on the fact that our year together is coming to an end, the three of us met up on Friday night for dinner and cocktails with our friend Atsuko joining us too.

The three of us have gone through so much together here in Japan and now that Kyla is leaving it has finally dawned on me how much the girls have meant to me through this whole experience.
It's JUNE...

... and I leave Japan in 7 weeks!!! I have a whole mixture of feelings about it but for now let me tell you about Wednesday night! Kat and I went off to Tokyo to see the re-scheduled Red Hot Chili Peppers gig at the Tokyo Dome. It started with some Champagne and scones on the shinkansen and by 7pm we were at the Tokyo Dome getting comfy in our seats. The venue was pretty huge with a distinct lack of big screens but the atmosphere was brilliant and we had a good view. After the gig, Kat and I decided to make the most of being in Tokyo and hit the clubs til the wee small hours. We caught the shink home in the morning, poor Kat had to be at school after lunch but I was able spend a lazy morning in Nagano before heading home for an afternoon nap!

Anyway, here are the photos!
